Newspaper Interview  – September 2024

In the latest issue of the local newspaper Taunuszeitung (Oberursel, Germany), Hans-Jürgen Mau and his son Niko Mau discuss the recent transformation of MCD Tools into DMC Europe and their plans for expansion across the continent. As the former German company MCD Tools transitions into the European headquarters for the U.S.-based Daniels Manufacturing Corporation (DMC), the Mau family shares insights into this strategic move and its implications.

Hans-Jürgen Mau, who originally founded MCD Tools in 2006 to distribute DMC’s specialized crimping tools in Germany, reflects on the company’s growth and the importance of their products in sectors such as aerospace and military. “DMC tools are essential for creating highly reliable electrical connections,” says Hans-Jürgen. “With over 40,000 connectors in just one Airbus A380, our precision is critical.” He emphasizes that DMC’s decision to establish its European headquarters in Oberursel, Germany was influenced by the company’s expertise, central location, and longstanding customer relationships.

Niko Mau, who took over the leadership alongside his father, outlines the ambitious plans for DMC Europe. “We are excited to expand our reach beyond Germany, now serving all of Europe,” Niko says. “Our goal is to become the leading supplier of precision tools for the continent.” He also highlights the immediate focus on hiring new staff and expanding their facilities to accommodate the expected growth.

The interview reveals a new chapter for the company as it leverages the rebranding and DMC’s global reputation to solidify its presence across Europe while maintaining its roots in the local community.
